In other news, I've gotten my aerobics done and my third and final load of laundry in the washer dryer DONE and away, while the second load is in the dryer done and the first load is done and actually put away. I need to clear off the rest of my couch-side table for my new and shiny printer DONE, vacuum DONE, and walk.

Hubby's thinking we're not going to make Moab this year, which makes me sad. But there's a lot of prep work involved, and the weather has been sucking rather spectacularly, so actually doing that work? Probably not happening. So, we have about ten days off next month with no concrete plan. San Diego would be good; we have zoo memberships. Hawaii would be better and is on my list of "places I want to visit before I die." Wonder how hard it would be to set up a cruise with this short of notice...

And oh, yes. I am holding and squeezing it and naming it "George." I looooooves it, I does. I went from "Oh dear, the idea of making pins from LJ icons for the nice folks at writercon isn't going to work at all because these printouts SUCK" to "Oh my gosh, wow, photo-y goodness, these are SHINY."

After playing with the settings a bit, I've determined that the optimum size for these bad boys is an inch square. And NOW I get into legalities. Most icons are fandom-related, made from copyrighted images. Using them for LJ is toeing a fine enough line, legally, although I think the argument can be made that this is "fair use." Making a profit on them, however, is a whole 'nother biscuit.

So, I probably can't "sell" them as such. But...taking donations to cover cost of materials? That should be kosher, shouldn't it?
