English Genius

You scored 100% Beginner, 93% Intermediate, 100% Advanced, and 77% Expert!
You did so extremely well, even I can't find a word to describe your excellence! You have the uncommon intelligence necessary to understand things that most people don't. You have an extensive vocabulary, and you're not afraid to use it properly! Way to go!
Thank you so much for taking my test. I hope you enjoyed it!

Hey! If you liked my test, send the link to your friends. They don't need to be OkCupid members to take it.
The Commonly Confused Words Test
Test statistics:
Compared to users who took the test and are and in your age group:
100% had lower Beginner scores.
100% had lower Intermediate scores.
100% had lower Advanced scores.
100% had lower Expert scores.

77%? Ugh. Guess I need to study harder.

In other news, we're heading out to Colorado tomorrow to visit the HubbyMom. And we just got a call from the HubbySis, and she's on her way out here from Oregon. She'll spend the night and we'll caravan out tomorrow morning.

Heh. Guess I should clean the house...

Honestly, I don't know how much more I'll do that's inspired by this utterly cool (yet rabid) plot bunny, but here's a start. Like I don't have enough to do...

Title: Final Assignment
Author: babies stole my dingo (agilebrit)
Fandom: Angel/Lost crossover
Rating: PG-13
Length: 200 words (double drabble/flashfic)
Disclaimer: Joss and JJ are the geniuses behind these characters; I am but a lowly follower. I make no money from any of this, so please don't sue me.
Written for: Inspired by a challenge issued by [livejournal.com profile] theohara.
Notes: A doctor and a lawyer have a conversation. Was Dr. Christian Shepherd really as incompetent as all that?

"What are you doing in my office? I've told you never to come here."

"Now, now, Dr. Shepherd. I think you'll want to see me this time." Holland Manners crossed an elegantly-tailored ankle over his leg and smiled.

"I can't imagine any circumstances where I'd actually want to see you, Mr. Manners." Christian sat behind his desk and glared at his uninvited guest, barely able to mask his utter loathing with formality.

"One more job. Then you're free." Christian snorted, and he continued. "I understand you have a surgery scheduled tomorrow."

"So?"

"Your patient has...angered the Senior Partners. They feel it would be better if she didn't make it out of that surgery alive."

Christian came out of his chair, which spun into the wall behind him. "I'm a doctor! I don't kill people. Not even for you."

"This will be the last thing you ever have to do for us. Ever," Holland said, standing up. "Think about it."

As the door closed quietly behind the lawyer, Christian put his face in his hand for a moment, then reached into the back of his desk drawer for the bottle that was his constant companion these days. One more job...
