Because it's nearly the playoffs, and my favorite football team has clinched home field advantage all the way through, the Steelers icon will be my default until they either (a) lose, or (b) go to the Super Bowl.

The icon is all the sweeter because I managed to find a pic of a Dallas Cowboy missing a tackle on Jerome Bettis as he goes in for a touchdown. And my two favorite teams are the Steelers, and whoever's playing the Cowboys. So. Heh.

I'm still working on the Spillyria Christmas fic. I think I figured out this morning how I'm going to fix it so I get the ending I want, and so it's not too hard on Buffy. Because, really, I like her. I want her to be happy too. Just...not with Spike, mmkay?

At least, not post-Smashed. Season Five or early Season Six Spuffy I can deal with, because the relationship hadn't turned into a trainwreck yet.

He'd loved Dru's hair. Soft, silky, smelling of blood and cinnamon--elaborately coiffed for a party or spread out on a pillow as he made love to her, her dark brown tresses were her signature, running his fingers through them his chief delight.

And Buffy...the honey locks of the Slayer held the fragrance of vamp dust and vanilla. The style changed over time, but not the scent. Even now, a whiff of vanilla candles took him back to the dances they shared.

Now Illyria. She smelled indescribable, like nothing he'd ever known. And that was most intoxicating of all.
