...through ff_friday's challenges last night, looking for a jumping-off point for writing something, and the "virtue and vice" one kinda jumped out and said "Me! Me! Me! Jayne and the girls!" Especially considering what Adam said about him thinking that Jayne might have a bit of a crush on Inara.

And now it's taken a sharp left turn into the weird. I'm not a River/Jayne shipper at all, but that's what the silly thing has become.

*headdesks* HOW do these things happen to me?

Oh, and I'm thinking about changing my default icon to either this:

Thoughts? Comments?

ETA: My carving came today. I bought this one after I inquired about this one and found out it'd been sold. THAT MORNING. And the Ray's tail is broken off about two inches from the end. *sobs* Maybe I'm just not meant to have one...

Son of edit: I've actually managed to repair it. I really didn't want to send it back, because the thing is GORGEOUS and it's been so long since I've been able to buy one. Now I just have to figure out how I'm going to display it...

Well, it's something you've never tried before, and it's nice to explore new territory! So long as you don't absolutely detest the ship or something. ^^;

That's Joss Himself. The first icon, I did something new with (for me) to put her leg over the lettering; I think it came out pretty cool.

I don't detest River/Jayne, per se...but it does squick me a bit. She's too young, for one thing. *mumbles* However, they're in the midst of a very uncomfortable conversation right now, so it's more a pre-Rayne than anything. Still. My brain is weird.

You should use the Joss one. After Mal/Inara my favorite ship in Firefly is Jayne/Inara. Can you imagine how crushed would Mal be? That would be hilarious.

And, I think that Jayne and Inara look good together. I made a manipulation of them together once.

Oh my goodness, Jayne and Inara would be beautiful together. They're both just gorgeous. Of course, Jayne would look good with anyone on the ship...
