Okay, this fic? Is going to be impossible to write. I thought I had an evil, evil hook for it, but then I looked at the requirements again, and "no character death" is one of them, so no joy there. Crapcrapcrap.

Well, I take it back. It may be possible to write a Buffy S3 fic with Faith, Wes, and Angel, where Buffy stayed in LA and never came back to Sunnydale, with no character death, a mention of the Mayor, and a meeting in the library. But I? Am not the person to write it, and I'm now realizing that I never should have agreed to try. The problem with having Angel in this thing is that, sans Buffy, Faith doesn't know who he is and would probably just stake him out of hand if he didn't kill her first--you know, him being all feral and all when he came back from Hell. Xander would certainly have no compunctions about killing Angel, and neither would Giles, because without Buffy there, they don't know that he got his soul back right before she stuck the sword in his chest.

So. This is me, feeling guilty about dropping the ball on this one. *sigh*

Could have done it with character death. I mean, I like a what-if scenario as much as the next person, but, dude. Don't tie my hands. Or, if you're going to tie my hands, leave me some wiggle room.

Well, I did the Illyria's birthday fic all right (finally), but for this one? I got nothin' at ALL. So if you have something else you think I can do I'll be more than happy to make the attempt. :-) Any fluffy Spred? Or, you know, non-fluffy. Because I was going to kill Faith and Wes for the AU one until I saw "no character death."
