agilebritYeah, remember my post about being old yesterday? I'm reaping that in spades today. You wouldn't think that riding go carts and bumper boats, climbing a rock wall once, and playing two rounds of miniature golf would make a person all ouchy, but, dude. I hurt.

"Sky High" rocks like a rocking thing. Even the Hubby liked it, and he hates high school movies. From there, we Ate At Joe's (Crab Shack). Coconut shrimp! *drools*
Man alive, Boondocks is FUN. The go carts had governors on them, so you couldn't go too fast, which was kind of a bummer, but they were fun. When did they start putting squirt cannons on bumper boats? I got completely soaked...but I also completely soaked a few people myself. *evil grin* And I found out once again that I suck at miniature golf. But that's okay, because I still like playing it.
The Rock Wall....Duuuuude, the Rock Wall. I've never climbed a rock wall before. Hubby went first and says he chickened out about 2/3 of the way up. There was a little 10-year-old kid in front of me, and he made it all the way...so I couldn't let him show me up, could I? I nearly got in trouble not too far in, because I was over too far to the left, but I quickly corrected that and got centered. Slow and steady wins the race, and for me it was a matter of finding handholds more than footholds. My legs started getting weak about 3/4 of the way up, but I was thisclose, so I gutted it out and managed to get up and ring the bell! Go, me! Then I rappelled down, and my legs would not hold me up...so I went ALL the way down. LOL Man, what a rush. My mouth has never been that dry, ever.
I've totally got to do that again.
So, yes, fun was had. Da Boy even got a new Matchbox car out of it, because some of the games in the arcade do that ticket thing, and we had enough tickets for one. He enjoyed himself too. Loved the go carts and bumper boats and played mini golf for the first time. We've determined that, yes, we're going to do that again, hopefully soon. It was a little pricey, but well worth it.
