Random thoughts

agilebritWell, hey. Who'd-a thunk it? The Utah Jazz (who are now 30-30) beat the Sacramento Kings (now 42-15) tonight. Andrei Kirilenko (AK-47, with love from Russia) has been awesome for us all year, and he was awesome tonight. We've got a young team in transition right now, and it's great to see that we've got some promising up-and-comers. Go Jazz!
And woo-hoo! I actually got some fic scribbled tonight. Imagine that. Nothing that really advances the plot any, just Spike's musings on his wayward Slayer, and I got to make the point that he does have a deadline here. I'm having a tough time with the Slayer, because she's a slippery little thing and hard to pin down. I realized tonight that I'm working on another sorta-kinda darkfic...darnit. I swear, I need someone to give me a light and fluffy challenge, because I'm angsting to death here. I'm not an angsty person (I'm not I'm not I'm not!), but that seems to be all I write anymore. *grumble* I needs me some schmoop, or humor. To write. I find enough to read.
And Da Boy's potty training (yes, potty training. None of this potty learning BS. Semantics aren't going to change the fact that he needs to be trained) has made significant progress today. He wore training pants (see??? training pants!) all day...and they stayed dry. He took himself back to the potty when he needed to go wee-wee. Now, if we can just get him to poop in it, we'll be home free--because he hasn't quite caught on to that just yet. But, holy cow, I'll be glad when I don't have to change diapers anymore. He's nearly three. He knows most of the National Anthem and most of the alphabet song. But he doesn't reliably use the potty yet? *eyeroll* Maybe we haven't been concentrating on it enough. But I think he's getting the idea. Yay!
