I may actually finish the thing in the next couple of days. And it's been a blast to write.

Now, Chinese is part of the show. I've sprinkled some into it here and there, mainly expletives and the like. They never translated it on the actual show...so should I translate it in the fic? In-text author's notes are out; I won't do it that way. Wouldn't take much to translate it down at the bottom in an author's end note for people who are interested, though.

Also...should I pick one site and use the Chinese from it? Spellings seem to vary wildly from site to site, and I'm not sure they all have all the same phrases.

Ah, the things that happen when you get involved in a new fandom...

Serenity comic comes out tomorrow!!! *flails*

When I started writing Firefly, I was really careful to look up the Chinese on some of the web sites that offer glossaries, and offer translations, and whatnot...and then, as time went on, I just stopped putting it in at all, and nobody seems to miss it. ::shrug::

I can try to find the glossaries if you'd like. Of course the bookmarks are on my computer back at school, but I might have the links somewhere. :)

Thanks! But I have them. Some of these phrases are freakin' hilarious.

I've been going through the Firefly fic on your site, BTW. *bows down* Beautiful. Absolutely brilliant.
