John Scalzi and cats...
Apr. 17th, 2007 10:37 pmCats are strange critters. This is an indisputable fact. I have owned (or been owned by) three cats. None of them are what I would call "normal." Of course, what's "normal" for a cat is an open question. I mean, really, it's no wonder that so many superstitions surround them.
John Scalzi, for those who have missed the wank going on at
sfwa, is a write-in candidate for President of the Science Fiction Writers of America. I haven't actually read any of his books, but I'm going to make it a point to look for them next time I'm at the bookstore. Or...hey. Abebooks. Because the man makes me laugh and I'm close to thinking he's rather brilliant.
Anyway. He makes a post about his cat killing a couple of bunnies, and the comments explode with stories about the bloodthirsty little beasts (cats, not bunnies, although an argument could be made...).
I posted about our Audrey-kitty as well. I'm "Julie," down there at the bottom. Everyone on my flist who has cats will nod knowingly at the post and the comments. Go forth, read, and be entertained.
In other news, I slept really crappily last night. Blargh.
But I need to figure out what's next in the WerewolfFic. Life has just gone disatrously wrong for my characters. Now I need to decide if it's ever going to be right again.
