*collapses into a puddle of goo*

We're back from our extended vacation. The dog is happy to see us, the cats are sulking, and Da Boy is playing with his Playmobile Pirate Ship that Grandma and Grandpa gave him.
We still need to figure out what we're going to do with our own Christmas. For obvious reasons, we didn't want to haul the loot we're giving each other 1200 miles (not to mention the fact that I haven't even shopped for the Hubby yet; I fail *sobs*), so we're...still deciding. And I'm lusting after the new wireless mouse that I can't have yet...
Had a lovely visit with all the families, shot all kinds of photos at the Ft Worth Zoo and the Dallas World Aquarium. TOUCANS, BABY. I also scored a couple of 512K thumb drives for $10 each--man, I love those things.
I also have 1800 words of "we're transporting dragon eggs, oops they hatched" fic for the intrepid crew of the Inquisitive Tamandua. Yes, I named the ship in my "scraped off the serial numbers" Firefly fic after a kind of anteater. Shut up.
There's no way I can catch up with the flist; I hope you all had a happy holiday and are well.
Man, it's good to be home.
