1. Grab the nearest book.
2. Open the book to page 123.
3. Find the fifth sentence.
4. Post the text of the next 3 sentences on your LJ along with these instructions.
5. Don’t you dare dig for that "cool" or "intellectual" book in your closet! I know you were thinking about it! Just pick up whatever is closest.
6. Tag five people.
Pretty sure that my book will not surprise anyone at all:
Jayne straightened up. "Well, now I know that."
Mal was eager to return to an earlier part of Simon's tongue-wag.
From the "Serenity" novelization, by our own
kradical, Keith R. A. DeCandido.
Not tagging anyone. Pretty sure most of my flist has done this anyway. And I'm going to put the preceding paragraph under the cut, because it's high-larious...
Jayne jumped back. "Well, don't say it!"
Giving Jayne her remind-me-why-I-haven't-killed-you-yet look, Zoe said, "It only works on her, Jayne."
"Oh." Jayne straightened up. "Well, now I know that."
Have I mentioned lately how grateful I am that the people in charge found someone who could actually write to do this novelization? Most movie novels suck like an Oreck, but this one is actually engaging and entertaining. *tips hat to
