Manners matter!

So, we went to the grocery store after seeing "Fever Pitch" yesterday afternoon (very cute movie), because I was almost out of Diet Code Red. After grabbing a 2-liter bottle of that and some diet ginger ale (squee!), I took Da Boy back to the toy section to check out the diecast cars. We found a little set that included a tank, an airplane, and a jeep, along with a soldier, for seventy-five cents (!), and went to pay.

The cashier, a charming young woman, scanned the toy and said, "I think this needs to go in its own bag." She bagged it and handed it to Da Boy, who grinned big at her and said, "Oh, THANK you!"

He just turned four, by the way. From the expression on her face, I think he made her day. I'm sure she's used to dealing with out-of-control brats all shift long.

That's so adorable. I have a little brother who's four and a half, and he always makes my day. :)
