lyricwheel and realized that I was supposed to have that particular fic done last month. *headdesk* Dangit, and that was the one I had actual ideas for too. Ah well. Nothing says I can't still write it. Them. Whatever.
In other news, I have to say something, because this has been eating at me all day. Yeah, I'm really sad that Chief Justice Rhenquist died. He's left a hole in the Supreme Court that won't be filled soon. Definitely one of the good guys, and I'll miss him.
So what did we have today?
Senator Chuck Schumer (D-NY, of course *eyeroll*) making the suggestion that Sandra Day O'Connor stay on the Court, and that President Bush should nominate her as Chief Justice. Apparently the fact that the woman is 77 or so years old and is leaving the Court to nurse her sick husband is immaterial to him. No! She should sacrifice what little time she may have left with the love of her life and be Chief Justice! After all, that's certainly a higher purpose than being with some man, right?
STFU, Chuck, and learn to live in the real world with the rest of us.
