Ugh, yes, I hate this drabble--because I hate this ship.

Notes: Okay, for the record, House/Cameron squicks the hell out of me, for several reasons. This drabble explores her motivation for wanting a date with him. I guess.

"Why do you like me?" he asked. Oh, Greg. I like you because you try so hard to be disliked. Do you think I don't see how you and Dr. Wilson get along, under all the snark? That proves it can be done.

So, I tilt at the windmill of your heart. I'll probably wind up with a broken lance, rolling over and over in the dirt, "sorely damaged."

But maybe I won't. Maybe, just maybe, you'll let me in, if only a little.

Maybe I'll be able to soothe that wounded spot on your soul that you can't quite hide.
