So, I downloaded the trial version of PhotoImpact from Ulead.com yesterday (which took hours and hours; ugh), and someone (I don't remember who, sorry) wanted a Fred icon with "pretty eyes, pirate smile" from "Tiny Dancer" on it, so I made this:

I'll probably be messing with the program a little more today; it's supposedly got the ability to make animated icons, and I have one in mind for both Sawyer and Spike, so we'll see how that goes. *wibbles* If I get anything I like, I'll be posting it. And if anyone has an icon request, I'll see what I can do which my shiny new trial version.

The enhanced stats for "Solid State" at FFN are...interesting. So far, 80 people have gone on to the third chapter. But the thing only has five reviews--and three of them are the same Lindsey-obsessed person (who pointed out that Lilah wouldn't say "you and HER have a thing" because that's grammatically incorrect *headdesk* and which I've fixed to say "you two"). But she's still asking where Lindsey is, even though I said in an author's note specifically to her that he would not be making an appearance in this story. And since it's first person Spike's POV, he has no reason at this point in the season to ask about Lindsey and has no idea who he is. Argh.

I know what you're talking about. Review please! Lots of people read, not as many reviews. At least you know that people are reading through. That's something. It is helpful. I know most people don't feel that they'll say anything intelligent. Just a "good read" or something would be great. ::sigh::

I reviewed over here, so I'm not over there. Did that make any sense? Or I'd be over there reviewing.

And no, Lindsey is not in every story. Face the facts. Now if it has to do with Wes, well then, I'll stop now before I sound obsessed. Good going on the 80 people. My time is almost out on enhanced stats, so I think I'll re-up when it runs out. It has been helpful.

*grins* Oh, I'm not whining about the folks on my flist not reviewing at my FFN page; you guys reviewed it here and that's good enough for me. :-)

Yeah, the "where is Lindsey" is getting really old. He's not in this fic, I told you he's not in this fic, get over it already. And she has no idea how hard I tried to have him in it, and the fact that he was in it for the longest time, but I couldn't make the story work with him. When it takes a damb year to finish an itty bitty 12K word story, and it finally came together when I ditched a certain character, then obviously he didn't work in the fic. Just because it's a S5 story doesn't mean he's going to be in it.

Argh. Sorry for venting all over you. Just one of the little frustrations of writing, I guess.

Vent away. It's totally OK. It's very frustrating sometimes. You have the story worked out and someone wants to change it entirely. Not what a writer wants to here. Just enjoy the story for what it is. Eek. Lindsey is not my favorite character to write. I find him extremely difficult at times.
