Today is Veteran's Day.

And honestly, as a writer, I should have something touching and profound to say about it. But I don't. I support the war in Iraq; I think we're doing a good thing over there; and I'm terribly grateful to our troops for doing what needs to be done. My Dad served two tours in Viet Nam, keeping our helicopters in the air, and I nearly bust my buttons with pride whenever I think about that. If Da Boy decides, when the time comes, that he wants to enter the military (whichever branch), he'll have my full endorsement.

So, yeah. I don't have anything profound to say, not really. But to our veterans and active-duty personnel, I do want to express my heartfelt THANKS for everything you did and do to keep us safe. You folks are awesome.
