Dude. I've been nominated at the Fractured Fairy Tales Awards for War Stories in the Poster Child for Vengeance category. This is the first time I've ever been nominated for anything, anywhere. So I'm honored and flattered and blushing furiously. Wow. Just wow. And a big thank-you to whoever nominated me. *smoooch*

Enhanced stats at FFN have been interesting. Apparently no one is reading the MustardVerse fics, which I sort of get because Christian!Spike won't be everyone's cuppa tea. That being said, it's interesting that people will read (and finish) Salvation and the crapfest that is Reward, but won't touch the (IMO) far superior Pottage (which comes before "Reward" in the timeline) or Mustard Seed. I wonder if people's Sue-dar goes off for the summary of Pottage, so they don't even try--even though I did my best to make Alicia the AntiSue. Of course, it might help if I didn't have freakin' typo in the summary. *fixes*

Well, actually...two people have apparently finished "Salvation" and "Reward." One person finished "Pottage." The farthest anyone's gotten on "Mustard Seed" has been ch5. I realize that MS is a long slog, and maybe they'll come back to it. *crosses fingers* No one has reviewed any of them.

And nobody at all has read Reflections. How...odd. Everything else has at least one hit. Except that one. *pets the lonely little one-shot and changes the summary a little* And no, I'm not begging anyone to run over and read anything of mine over there unless you WANT to. I don't want the stats inflated artificially. Of course, if you want to, then feel free--read, review, give me a happy.

So. What I'll probably wind up doing is paying for six months at FFN so I can finish up my works in progress (one of which is a MustardVerse fic) and see what kind of readership a multi-chaptered Spike/Fred fic will garner, and how much readership a new MustardVerse fic (with no new Slayer) will attract. Of course, the new MustardVerse fic is way experimental as far as POV goes... *headdesk*

Anywho. The Muse has apparently come out of hibernation for the Temp!Corporeality fic, and has been giving me stuff for it. How far I'll take it once Spike is actually solid again is open to question, but at least I know (pretty much) how I'm going to get him there, so yay.

That's my fic life lately. Working on stuff, which is of the good. Also doing puzzles, which gets me away from the computer. The current one is a toughie (yes, it's actually shaped like an elephant), and I'm cheating by looking at the box. Annnnd...I'm coming down with a cold. Ugh.

Yep, those enhanced stats are quite interesting. Kind of puzzling too. And in some instances, downright weird. One of most popular fics was written six months ago. And I got very few reviews for the first part of it (14) and I've had over 900 hits in the past two weeks. Go figure.

Hey, I'm the antithesis of you. I write really long fics. A lot easier to watch the counter on multichapters than drabbles. Must be a little puzzling to you. I just wished that more people would leave comments. Oh well.

Wow, and I think I'm doing good when I get a hundred hits. LOL

One of my WIPs is going to be a multichaptered thingamajig. How multichaptered, I don't know just yet; it's 6400 words and counting. In fact, I'd rather write epics instead of shorts, but it seems lately that shorts is what I've been putting out. But with the determination that I'm going to pay for six months, I can write something long without worrying that my account will run out and I won't be able to see who's reading and following.

I didn't say I got that many people though. When you have 33 chapters, it's good to have 30 people following it. Oh well.

Give me a heads up when you start posting your other fic. I'll review on FF too. I've been reviewing on here for your other stuff. :I bow to the drabble queen: It'll be fun to read some longer, good stuff. If it turns out as good as your drabbles, it'll be great!

See, this is why I don't pay for the enhanced stats - you get obsessed about who's reading your fanfic and how many people and stuff. Plus, I have no money.

Oh, and good for you, getting all nominated for a fanfic award!

Well, at least I know that people are *reading* the stuff, even if they're not commenting. Six months, $15. I can afford that, I guess.

I'm stoked about being nominated. Now I know how Oscar contenders feel! LOL

Congratulations with the nomination! :)
Oh, I've read all the MustardVerse fics before, but bad reader that I am, I don't remember if I left any reviews...
I'm looking forward to your upcoming Spred fic (I've been going bonkers looking for Spike/Fred and Spike/Cordy all over the place...)
