Honestly, I really don't want that to be the one thing that people notice about this LJ, and it's served its purpose. Two weeks and nearly 800 comments was quite long enough to let that go on, I think.

Everything this guy was saying was stupidly inflammatory and richly insulting, pure LJ troll.  I've done something very unusual for me - based on what I'd heard before, and what I'm seeing here, I went ahead and proactively banned him from me and mine.  He'll not get a foot in the door.


[I've encountered that “Get back to me when my insulting 'condition' has been accomplished” before - it's a trademark of egotistical, offensive, self-righteous twerps, invariably of the collectivist Left - the use of such standardized, approved by the Party pull-string phrases is an indicator, just as George Orwell said.]

Well, I'm a big believer in letting people hang themselves with their own words, which he did quite handily.

I'll unlock that post at some future point in time, when it won't be on the front page drawing attention to itself with that giant comment count, but for now, it's behind a gate.

I'm surprised, frankly, that I don't have angry messages from him either in my inbox or on this post from him.

Oh, Jesus frog. Insert alternate religious figure and amphibian of your choice, if you dislike that particular expression of dismay, though I think "oh, Buddha salamander" and "oh, Muhammad newt" lack panache due to their unfamiliarity.

I'd like to add that my not-so-humble opinion -- and really, is there any other kind? -- is probably very different from yours, on the actual issues at hand here. I won't go into particulars here, because your LJ is not the place, and I like to think that two intelligent people can come to two different conclusions (especially if they're working from two different sets of information), but in short, I want to see this cop nailed to a wall. And I find that I don't actually disagree with Larry Correia's post in general, but I don't feel it applies to this case.

All that said? I'd ban that twunt. Ma-nah-ma-nah (do, do, do-do-do!), I mean. In fact, I think I shall, pre-emptively. That twunt makes lefties look bad. Seriously, what the fuck did they think they would accomplish here? I don;t actually object to lefties -- hell, I am a lefty! -- but try not to represent us poorly, y'know? If you're going to take your opinions into adversarial turf, do it well!

...in unrelated news, I'm practicing figure drawing for the album cover of my current music project. I plan on knocking Ma-nah-ma-nah's work out of the water. (The image I'm planning is a very beautiful man reclining on a gurney with his head on a pillow, using a body bag as a sleeping bag, looking at his cellphone... with trigger warnings for suicide. Except I'm a metal-head, and we don't DO trigger warnings. Honestly, if you can't handle disturbing content, you shouldn't be listening to metal in the first place.)

Forgive me, I'm having one of my few -- thankfully rare -- moments of drunk oversharing. Fortunately, my new Mac Pro has gotten very good about correcting my spelling, otherwise this comment would be a fuckin' mess.

He's special, isn't he. Honestly, though, I don't think he's on anyone's "side" but his own. His hatred for the "right wing" (as he defines it) notwithstanding.

I'm still a little weirded out that he basically attacked everyone's writing and art but mine there. I mean, my own writing isn't hard to find (there's a sticky right there!) and neither is my dA, where I have the same handle as this LJ. Of course, my dA only has some wallpaper I've cobbled together mainly for my own entertainment, but still. Nor, in his litany of "terrible people who are right-wing SF writers," did he see fit to include me. I'm hurt. :'(

...that sounds like a very cool image, actually, and I'm sure anything you can put together will put Yama to shame. Hell, my 13-year-old's line drawings of tanks puts him to shame.
