• Thu, 22:44: Spreadsheet for June #NaNoWriMo project done. Stared fruitlessly at last two outlines. ...I'll just wing those endings, if I even get there.

Poor baby, he must be new. Usually, from what I understand, the people in this particular company cuss you out if you're less than polite. But I was amused.

At my last job, the very best perk was that my boss let me play with the telemarketers. They generally did this obnoxious cold-call ("Can I speak with the person in charge of purchasing?") and I had great fun inventivg things for them. I would invent and take messages for the person-in-charge-of-purchasing (Mr. Peabody passed without notice, Natasha Fatale caused great confusion and Boris Badenov clued them in that they were being mocked), or come up with dire fates for our recently deceased purchaser ("The receptionist tied them up in a closet and we never missed 'em. The doctors think they'll be OK with some IV hydration...").
