I saw it last night, and it was just wonderful! I completely love it, the heroes were great, the villain was fantastic, and even the sidekicks were fun.
(Might be a bit spoilery from here on out, so skip over if you like)
I also like how they tweaked some of the standard Disney tropes. The crazy witch with the snake sidekick, one of the good guys. The PRINCE was the one who gave up his dreams to help Tiana reach hers.
Heck, even the core moral is a good one. Wishing will only get you half way there, you need hard work to get the rest of the way, but work still can't be your whole life. You need to have fun as well. Ah, balance. :)
It's a dang fine film... and ya, pulls the tears too.
