The Ram really does do some excellent grub. My wife and I used to take my parents there when they'd fly out from Utah for a visit.
My Dad also used to love the ferry trips around the San Juans. When my wife and I lived up in Mt. Vernon we'd usually make sure to take Mom & Dad out on the ferry at least once a visit.
Anacortes is nice too, but if you get a chance, drive out to Deception Pass and maybe go down Whidbey Island. Coupeville especially is lovely.
