I highly highly highly recommend going to a literary con or two or six. The networking opportunities are priceless, and you'll learn a lot in the panels.
Considering the fact that I shot for 85,000 for the last one, hit that with my "END," and have since surpassed it by another 12,000 words...yeah, I'm betting it'll go over too. ;)
