To which I can only say "Squeee!" and "It's about time." Hopefully she won't be as mean to Spike this time as she was during "Mustard Seed." I don't see that happening for this one...yet, anyway. And after thinking about it for all of two seconds, I can see why she'd want a break after that monster. That was tough on all of us. But she's given me two and a half pages so far, and it's moving right along. Not sure how long it's going to be, or perzactly what I'm going to do with it...but it's going. Which is more than I can say for the last one, which sputtered to a stop after seven pages of not very much.
And I got to watch AtS 5:9 "Harm's Way" today while Da Boy was napping. And after seeing the preview for next week's show, I'm breathless with anticipation.

"Harm's Way" spoilers
Date: 2004-01-16 05:01 am (UTC)1. Way with the funny. That "ad" for W&H at the beginning...was that some sort of employee motivational thing, or what? I was snorting soda up my nose.
2. Harmony wasn't nearly as annoying as she usually is. They actually turned her into a human...um...vampire being this time, instead of a blow-up doll. Much better. I actually found myself feeling sorry for her.
3. Office politics, W&H style. Of course they'd be a little more *ahem* lethal than the normal kind.
4. The demon summit, and them all angrily demanding a sacrifice...and then when they get one (in an impromptu manner), the one is all "Works for me" and the other is "I'm good." And they start acting civilized again. Hee!
5. No Eve.
6. Spike, as always, was brilliant. (paraphrased) "I'm leaving." "Don't take the Viper." "Right, the Viper it is, then." Snortle. And then at the end, he actually gave Harm a pep talk. That was nice. I hate it when he treats her like crap, because it shows a side of him I don't like very much. I know he's not a fluffy bunny, but he doesn't have to be needlessly cruel.
The Bad:
1. Not enough Spike. But then, I think this should be called "Spike, the Series," instead of "Angel," so there's hardly ever enough of the Bleached Wonder for me. He should be in every scene.
2. Again with the sleeping with strangers. Never ends well, either in the Jossverse or in real life.
3. No Lindsey. Waaaah!
All in all? I give that ep a B++, maybe an A-.
More good, that I overlooked
Date: 2004-01-16 08:10 pm (UTC)2. The chopstick vamp-fight. That was just...classic.
The more I think about it, the better I like this episode.
