I'm poking the Werewolf!not!Pepper version of the not!Iron Man fic. And here's the scene where he asks her to marry him (the first time).

And of course, in the original version, the answer is "ask me again when we get out of here."

In this version? She can't. Not "won't." But how can she? This is a secret she's been harboring for how long now? And her boss is the CEO and mover and shaker behind a medical research company? Don't you know that the science types would love to get ahold of a werewolf to see what makes it tick?

So. They need to have a conversation here...

Odd question....have you tweaked it so that the reason she's with the company, the reason she's his personal assistant to begin with, is her hopes of finding a cure?

That's the problem right now. I'm terrible at big emotional conversations and avoid them whenever possible. So the scene isn't flowing. *beats Muse*
