The reason why I don't rank Firefly higher is because it didn't last long enough. Season 1 of Firefly is far better than Season 1 of Buffy, and if Firefly had gotten a couple of seasons, it might have been the best show ever. But it didn't.
I tend to consider the Buffy and Angel TV shows as two parts of a whole, so it's that combo that I rank as the best TV series ever.
