It's funny, LJ seems, in many people's minds, to be one step up from MySpace, which I personally wouldn't go near with a ten-foot pole, although such luminaries as my sister and Nathan Fillian are on it. LJ strikes me as a more "adult" site. Of course, this may be because the people I hang with here are adults, for the most part, or remarkably mature adolescents (*tips hat to whirligigged*).
I just like it here because all the people I like to read are gathered in one spot and I don't have to bookmark a bunch of stuff to read one by one. I don't know if Blogspot or any of the others that aren't LJ clones have that option, and I can't be arsed to check.
