The power cord for the newish laptop finally breathed its last today, and after calling around locally to see who had one, I decided to get one on eBay for about half what it would have cost me here. *sigh* It's always something. So, I've managed to spend $75 this pay period on this and a couple of other things, that I would rather not have spent. At this rate, saving up for WriterCon is looking very very bad.
And I'm stuck here on the six-year-old laptop until my new power cord gets here. I put the Pottage Monster on a disk so I can still work on it when I want to (and now I realize I should have put my drabble blank there too; oh well, I guess I have enough juice left to do that if I want). And I've scribbled a paragraph on Pottage...need to decide how much of this battle in the Arena I actually want to write, or if I want to do the cop-out "...then the wounded vampire looked up to see two Fyarl demons striding towards him" and cut it off there, and start the next scene somewhere else. I can hear the howls of protest now--so I guess I'll grit my teeth and write the battle scenes. Blearg.
