Yah, hah. Looking over at the shelf - there it is.

Now, all I need is a digital camera... Anyway, I have a do-funny here they'd probably smile to see: It's a promotional trinket paperweight desk thingumbob crafted to commemorate the building of the Space Needle. Made in Japan!

The reason I still have it - one reason - is that it is crafted out of brass, the whole thing: There's no plastic anywhere. There it is.

[The other reason is that my house has always been a time capsule; it's bizarre, what is preserved here. It's like the place is pressurized with nitrogen. Heck, I still listen to 8 tracks.]

The Science Fiction Museum isn't actually IN the Space Needle. When they say it's "at the base of the Space Needle," what they mean is it's in the building next to the base of the Space Needle.

The year I was a WOTF winner, the awards ceremony was held in the Science Fiction Museum. We had a catered dinner in the Space Needle. Very cool.

Oh, man, I'm jealous. I had a look at the menu for the restaurant at the Space Needle, and, while it would be very very cool to eat there...no. Just...no. It wouldn't be THAT cool. Especially not with a six-year-old.
