Well, he's right. In theory, if the entire millions of troops and billions of dollars of US Armed Forces as they existed in AD 1945 were unleashed in Iraq (or Vietnam), we could obliterate every human being in that entire region. In reality, perhaps the lack of manpower isn't the real, fundamental problem in these situations.
