We've been river rafting.

We've done the first part of Rose Garden Hill, and decided that, since the entire thing is about an 80-mile trip, we would turn around and go back after climbing said hill.

The Hubby broke his drive shaft on said hill. Oops. But it's fixed and all is well.

I took the following picture of the following FABULOSO lizard:

Actually, I took several pix of him, plus several of two other lizards. Because I'm a dork that way.

We have no idea where we're staying tomorrow night.

We've eaten at Eddie McStiff's, the Moab Brewery, and Zax's.

The Muses have not seen fit to grace me with their presence. But that's all right, because I've done some editing on the CatFeet fic, so at least something is getting done.

*collapses into a puddle of goo*

OMG I LOVE THIS TOWN.

That lizard is art!

Where is Moab? And it looks nothing like our snowy landscape!

Moab is in Southeastern Utah over by Arches National Park. Red rock, lizards, and desert landscape, and a mecca for jeepers, mountain bikers, and hikers from all over the world. I love the place.

Well, car trouble is a given when you're climbing rocks in Moab. At least he didn't break an axle or roll the thing. One guy in our group had to do a welding job on the trail by connecting three car batteries together via jumper cables and using a portable welder. It worked!

Moab is never, ever boring. :)

Moab, Utah, right outside Arches National Park. The last time I saw a lizard like that is probably seven or eight years ago...and this trip we saw TWO, one of which was just a youngster, so didn't have the vivid colors that the adults have.

Wow! I thought I remembered you saying somewhere in the US, but with those vivid colors I thought for sure it was some place tropical! WOW! Who'd have thought something like that would be within our borders! Our world never ceases to amaze me....
