Whee! Writing.

It's a fairly well-known fact that I suck quite a lot at writing description. I don't like writing it; when I do write it, it's fairly graceless; and I don't even like reading it that much.

That being said, everyone who's given me feedback on "The Affairs of Dragons" has said "Describe the snot puppet!" And so I have, and even found a place to stick the description where it's a natural part of the narrative. Go, me!

See, when I pictured this thing, I thought about the puppet that the conservation groups used for captive feeding of California Condor chicks so they'd imprint on Condors rather than humans. Naturally, my crew doesn't have the same resources as the US Fish and Game Dept, but they've made an approximation.

I'm planning on posting the DragonFic later today, as a matter of fact. :) Hopefully the "awww" factor of the baby dragons won't nauseate you too much. *snerk*
