Too many people. Not only is it impossible to tell just who the heck is what, and it's way too talky-talky-talky, but I'd like to remind you that they are on a spacecraft, and not a luxury liner either. It is a closed ecosystem, balanced for n occupants. All of a sudden you've got, how many extra people at this instant Buffycon? The air would start going stale in an hour. And there's no windows to open...
There's also the little matter that no one seems to particularly care that they've just spent five hundred years going through a time-slip, and their families, their whole world, everyone they've ever known is dead and gone. That matters, wouldn't you say?
Other than those little things, it's very well written. In character, too, what I know of it.
