*tears out hair*

I've scribbled 1100 words of my stated goal of 2000 and it's once again come to a screeching halt. I know where I need to go (epic bear battle), but getting there from here is proving to be something of a conundrum. I think I need to think about my magic system a little more as well.

I started this thing back in August, y'all. I've cracked 12,300 words on it, and the climax is coming at its planned part of the outline, but damn. And to think, I was less than 4000 words in and thought it was "ending too fast." *cue hysterical laughter*

And the word count (so far)...

Is 2040, with a total count on the whole story of 13,318. *throws confetti* I have reached the Epic Bear Battle portion of the thing. Life is good.

I have no idea if I can actually wrap it in another 1700 words. I have my doubts because there's a lot of resolution yet to come and I've barely started the Epic Bear Battle.

But I hit my goal on the day and I am Happy. I hope I can stick an END at the bottom of the thing by the end of tomorrow.

Wow, y'all. That is a lot of wordage in one day for me.
