Okay, so I posted a (smoking hot, apparently) snippet yesterday. And then I had a thought. And this is always the kind of thought that makes me bang my head on my keyboard, because it looks like a Plot Hole until I fix it.
And the thought is:
Why would Angeline try this again--when the last time she did it, it ended so utterly disastrously?
I can, no doubt, justify it with a scene from her POV wherein she goes through the thought process. And I'll need to, just for the sake of consistency and sanity and not making my readers go "WTF why would she do that???"
But, you know, I might not have even caught that had I not posted the snippet yesterday. So, yay for useful things making me think. I guess. Hell, maybe it doesn't look like a plot hole to anyone but me, I dunno. But I'm going to fix it anyway. Because I'm obsessive that way.
