Over two thousand words today so far. And I'm not sure I'm done yet. I haven't even got to the C part of H/C.

Not!Tony-babble is terribly fun to write. This entire scene is very stream-of-consciousness.

Not!Pepper fixes his dislocated finger:

"On three," she said. "One, two--" Crack, she'd cheated, but it was back in place with a jolt of pain on top of the pain he already had and then the pain stopped and who'd have thought that pain merely stopping would feel so good?

ETA: Wow, that scene took a lot out of me. I'm literally sitting here, exhausted from writing it, and it's not just because it's 1am.

Also, I'm wondering if I broke him too soon. *headdesks*

Um. Guess I should get an endgame in mind, here. Also, backstory, and spec element. Because, really.

Over three thousand words today, folks.

Seriously, that has to be some sort of record, at least for me.

*dies*

And now, I shall hie me to bed. Because I'm almost as exhausted as my characters. Putting them through a wringer like that wears me out.

Okay, so 3,074 words yesterday. I'm back in not!Tony's POV, and I swear this is the most fun thing I've ever written because the words are just pouring out of his head in a stream of lovely babble and he won't. Shut. Up. I've got run-on sentences galore here, but it's all stream-of-consciousness and it's how he thinks.

I don't know how well this will work once I scrape the serial numbers off, which will require a massive amount of editing and adding and multiplying. I still don't have an endgame.

And I haven't decided if I'm going to break her or not.

250 words so far this morning. I don't think I'll be able to go at the pace I did yesterday, because I'm not really sure what's next, but it'll come. I have to rescue them somehow. Probably via deus ex machina, because they have no resources and not!Tony can't even walk. I should probably mention somewhere in here that they know that people will be looking for them so it doesn't come out of left field...

I just broke the everlovin' shit out of not!Pepper. And now not!Tony, who's also broken, has to try to pick up the pieces and put them back together.

She rounded on him, her face hot with anger. "Bio-weapons? Is that what we do? Is that the company I've been working for?" Her features crumpled. "They showed me children, babies...Sick, disfigured, dead, because of us. Because of Stark Biologicals. Because of you."

4200 words and counting...
