Things that make me happy today:
Nov. 26th, 2007 06:07 pm1. I have PLOT. Yay! *twirls Antubis*
2. The WGA strike may be over. I only hope the writers will get a fair deal out of this.
3. Schlock Mercenary: Tub of Happiness has hit our fair shores and I can get my copy next week. WHEEE!
4. Chuck, Heroes, and Journeyman tonight.
Speaking of Journeyman, I think I've figured out why it's not as popular as it really should be.
The "B" plot is more interesting than the putative "A" plot.
The A plot is pretty formulaic. Monster of the Week sort of thing. He goes back in time to save someone, yadda yadda, yay for doing good works, we care about them why again?
But the B plot...the part about how all this is affecting his wife, his kid, his brother, his job? That's the interesting part. And I'm not sure that this works for Mr and Mrs Average American.
And the time slot is strange too. Really, there's nothing in this show I wouldn't want my six-year-old to see, but they've got it on at 9pm (my time)--whereas "Chuck," which is full of fisticuffs and people getting shot and shit blowing up, is on at 7. I...don't get that. At all.
Anyway. There's my ponderings for the day.
And I have no idea if I should use my "Dance of Joy" icon or my Schlock icon for this post. Darnit. Eeny meeny miney moe...
