So, I should be writing...
Jun. 15th, 2007 05:12 pmBut I got on a tear with the photo editing yesterday, and continued it today. So far, today, I've done something like 80 pictures. Just basic cropping and enhancing.
If I was actually smart, I'd be doing it systematically. You know, opening one folder, doing all the pix in that folder, then going on to the next.
Am I smart?
No, I am stupid. Because I'm poking through the folders, picking and choosing. And not writing down which pictures I've done--because naturally, they're all numbered, and then I do a "save as (critter name)," which doesn't actually rename the photo but makes a completely new picture in the new folder. So I still have all the originals, but they're scattered in something like twelve different folders...
Not only that, but I need to decide if I want to save the originals or not. Although what for, I have no earthly idea.
AND...half the time, I've either not written down what sort of animal it is, or I remember doing it but not which notebook I did it in (I have three or four of THOSE). So I toddle over to the zoo's website, and they're no help, so I'm stuck here scratching my head. Usually I can find it by doing a Google image search, but the Henry Doorly Zoo has something like three or four tiger species, so I'm really just making a wild-ass guess as to which one this particular one is.
Argh.
At least my Webshots screensaver interface is easy to work with, and I can stick pix in their proper folders en masse. That's some consolation. I'd also like to see if GJ has an interface where you can upload multiple pix at once, but I have my doubts. I didn't look that closely, though, so maybe they do...
