The handsome and charming [livejournal.com profile] mistborn is having a reading and signing tomorrow, at the B&N ten minutes away from my house, at 2pm. I want desperately to go.

The Hubby is taking a boat we're thinking about purchasing for a test drive tomorrow at 11am, an hour away.

I'd really like to find a sitter for Da Boy. Taking a five-year-old to something like an author reading would probably be...counterproductive.

Argh.

Okay, I'm the first one to advocate fanfiction as a way to practice writing, right? I cut my teeth on it, I love writing it, love reading it, yaddayadda, etc etc.

That being said, I've gotten into the very bad habit of not setting my scene. In fanfiction, I don't need to describe the Serenity, or Spike's crypt, because we all know what they look like. Well, it don't work that way in origific.

*smacks self* THEREFORE, [livejournal.com profile] agilebrit, you need to tell us where your crime scene is and what's around it, because otherwise we don't know. Mmmkay?

And hey. Just broke 2000 words on the CatFeet fic. Go, me.

ETA: Argh, again. Stupid basketball. No "Numb3rs" tonight. However, they're re-running the pilot of "Raines" at 10pm Eastern/Pacific, 9pm Central/Mountain, on NBC. Check it out, o flist. The gal that played Gwen Raiden is in it.
