The Hubby and I tag-teamed Da Boy so we could both watch "Slither" and "Ice Age 2" today. I took him for the first viewing of IA2, and oh my goodness. Scrat! And possums! And mini-sloths! Singing vultures! And AWWWW moments!

AND ANTEATERS! IN SPEAKING ROLES! PLURAL!

*flails*

*coughs*

Okay, enough of my unhealthy obsession. So, then we switched off, and the Hubby watched IA2 with Da Boy, and I went to see "Slither."

Okay, those of you on my flist who liked "Shaun of the Dead" and aren't creeped out by slug-like creatures? Are going to love this. I loved it. The Hubby, not so much, but he hated "Shaun" too. Not his sort of humor. I freely admit to being a sick puppy.

But, the homages! Even one to "Serenity," if you squint. Hee! And the dialogue was hilarious. I'm not sure I want to see it again...but I probably will. I'll at least rent it so I can listen to the commentary. IA2, OTOH, is *definitely* going in the DVD collection, because there are so many moments in it that BEG to be iconed.

A good day at the movies. :)

Rec-Go-Round: Rec me one story you've written that you're proud of, any genre, here on my LJ.

Then go forth and ask the same in yours.

In other news, I'm working up the [livejournal.com profile] writercon icon pins. I can print 48 per page. Anyone on my flist going to WriterCon that wants one (or more than one), sing out. :)
