Updatey!

The Hubby got some unexpected time off, so we're going to Colorado for a few days to visit his Mom, who is a wonderful lady. I may try to get her hooked on Firefly. *evil grin* So, updating and responding to comments may be sporadic until Friday or so--although the hotel has wi-fi, so we'll see how it goes.

Did a Firefly Meetup today, and we're getting a midnight showing of Serenity!!! SQUEEEEE!!!eleventyone! So, [livejournal.com profile] jerib_78, I don't know if you want to plan for that or not, but there it is. It's going to be at the Jordan Commons, and you can crash in the spare bedroom if you want. Also, Jeremy's throwing another FireFry the second Saturday of October, place and time TBA.

I also picked up the "Serenity" novel today; we'll see if [livejournal.com profile] kradical can actually spin a yarn or not. He seems pretty articulate on the Browncoat board, but I have low expectations, simply because most novelizations of movies suck very very much. *crosses fingers* It's not often I pay full price for a book. Starlog has a pretty nice article on Serenity in their current issue as well, plus a two-page interview with Adam Baldwin, which is pretty shiny. He seems like a nice guy. And I now have all the comics, with all the covers, thanks to my local comic store. Night Flight Comics is teh roxxors!

And welcome to new friends [livejournal.com profile] drakeazathoth and [livejournal.com profile] cats_are_snakes. Come in, kick back, and have fun. Expect lots of fannish squeeing over Firefly, Buffy, and Angel, plus discussion of House, Lost, and Numb3rs. Throw some politics and movies into the mix, and some slices of my life, and that's my LJ in a nutshell. :-)
