My little boy is growing up...
Nov. 17th, 2004 06:49 pmSo, we've finally got off our butts and built a real bed for him (in a manner of speaking, if a piece of plywood set up on four milk crates and a mattress counts as a "real bed"). Which means he's no longer going to be trapped in his crib. Now, since he's not been able to get out of bed to go potty at night, he generally wakes up with a wet diaper. In order to teach him that he's really too big for diapers anymore, Hubby the Genius has created a setup that will turn a lamp and a radio on in his room at 5am that will (hopefully) wake him up in time for him to go potty. To facilitate this, I'll be getting up with him for the first week or so, so that he'll not be quite so confused.
In other news, I broke 5000 words on the NaNo novel yesterday and finished up a scene. Heh. 10% done, and 50% of the month gone. *headdesk* Why in the world did I think I could do this? On the bright side, I've got at least a start on an original novel (which will probably never see the light of publication, because, really...how "mainstream" is a Christian vampire horror story?)--and lately, I've actually been finishing what I've started. So...yay?
I watched "House" last night. Snappy dialogue, interesting characters, made me laugh out loud a couple of times, made me go "EWWW!" once (tapeworm in the brain--and once more I say "EWWW!")...it's doomed. Fox will axe it after four episodes just like they did "Wonderfalls." Pooheads.
