Just saw "Van Helsing"
May. 21st, 2004 04:30 pmAnd, okay. I had to leave my brain at the door. That being said...I quite enjoyed it. I went in with no preconceived notions, because I'm not familiar enough with the Dracula story, or any of the legends around it, to know whether or not canon-rape occurred.
Of course, the convenient plot devices were *ahem* rather silly. But hey. Is Hugh Jackman ever *not* hot? I mean, ( spoiler )
And I so want one of those leather corset-things Kate Beckinsale was wearing. I realize I'd need Scarlett O'Hara's waist for it to do that for my figure...but it couldn't hurt.
In other news, [trumpet fanfare] I'm almost done with the Pottage monster. I have to decide if I'm going to send it off to my (published) Mom for a beta or not, but her book just hit the stands, so I don't know if she'll have the time or not.
