Gender: Female
Age: 40
Where you at, yo: Utah (stop laughing at me!)
Your fandoms (just the ones you are active in, such as reading, writing fics, or doing fanart, or posting in fora): Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel the Series. I've written one LotR parody fic. I have hope for WonderFalls.
For which of these fandoms do you read fics: Buffy and Angel. LotR is skeery, although I've been reading Miss Cam's University series.
For which do you review: Buffy and Angel. I don't know enough about LotR yet to read or review one of those fics coherently.
Your biggest pet peeves: OOCness. Mary Sues. Egregious spelling and grammar mistakes.
Pet peeves specific to fics in your fandoms: Everyone's in high school fics, whether they're all human, all vampires, or all werewolves. They are, without exception, GodAwful. I have
never read a good one of those. Spike/Xander or Spike/Angel(us) fics where they're cute and fluffy with each other. "Xan-pet." :puke:
Your kinks: Heh, sorry. That's something I only share with my Hubby.
Your smut squicks: Rape, menstrual smut, anything to do with bodily waste. Not that I read much smut outside the GAFF board.
Guilty pleasures: Bloodplay that doesn't involve menstrual fluid.
Real person fic--pro, against, or indifferent: Against, if it's someone who's still alive. But if you're writing historical fiction, and you use real people in it, then I'm okay with that as long as they're not doing things they never would have done.
Worst fics you've read: Anything Heywood on the GAFF board digs up. The Willow/Tara/Dawn scat-fest was probably the worse one in my fandom. Of course, I haven't read that one all the way through, so maybe it doesn't count.
Best fics you've read: Anything by
HonorH.

"Raison d'Etre". Richard Bachman's very dark
"Normal Again" (which I can forgive the flaws in because English isn't his first language).
Fics that you have written: Linked right over there <-.
Best review you ever got: Heavy stuff, honey. I like it, a lot, actually. Not the usual fare, I suppose, and so that makes it stand out. Good stand out, of course. Top notch.
::hugs Topper:: Damn, and cute dogs, too! This is almost too good to be true! ^_^That was for my
"Salvation" fic, which I was nervous about posting because it's one of those notorious "message" fics where Spike converts to Christianity (she said unapologetically).
Worst review you ever got: For
"Spark":
So you have Buffy apologising to her attempted rapist? Of COURSE it's all her fault, why didn't I realise earlier?? The Buffy / Spike relationship was screwed up from both sides, and with Buffy clearly depressed and not in her right mind you can count on ol'Spikey to take advantage of that. A class act, Spike. It's a bad review because they obviously didn't read the fic--they read the reviews of it and wildly misinterpreted one. Buffy doesn't apologize to Spike per se in it, but she does take responsibility for her own actions and acknowledges that she was very much at fault in the train wreck that was their Season 6 relationship.
Oh, and there was my lovely review spammer, who left me 17 of the same negative reviews on each of two of my fics, because I had the temerity to come to the defense of someone who wrote a very funny Spike parody that they apparently took offense to. :p @ them.
Have you ever written a MarySue, if so, how old were you: I've written an OC for Spike, and been assured by several different people that she's not a Mary Sue. And she passed the Sue test on one of those "Is your OC a MS" sites. So...I guess not. I killed her anyway, in the sequel.
In your opinion, the best thing you've written: Oh, dang, I have to pick
one? I love my
kitten poker fic because it was a tremendous amount of fun to write, and was my first challenge fic. And
"Mustard Seed" is also my baby.
In your opinion, the worst thing you've written: Without a doubt,
"Reward". My first ever fic. It's deeply flawed, and now that I've written (and read) a lot more, I realize how bad it is. I'm going to go back and rewrite it...someday. However, it stays where it is because it's the middle of a trilogy.
