I don't have the time or the inclination to review-spam people. But I sure wish I knew who was doing this, just so I could send them a blistering email.

One of their many (identical) reviews for "Lineage" said: "No wonder no reviews so far. This is a horrible, stupid story. It has virtually nothing to do with the show and is incredibly dull."

Well....no wonder you don't want to sign your name. That was a horrible, stupid review. It had absolutely nothing to do with my fic and was incredibly dull. However, thank you for taking the time out of your no doubt busy schedule to tell me seventeen times how stupid you thought my story was. I will give your comments the careful consideration they deserve.[/sarcasm]

As for your comment on "Dirty Little Secret": "This is really bad. It's stupid and pointless, and a complete waste of space. YUCK!"--well, my little hundred word fic didn't waste nearly as much server space as did your 17 stupid and pointless not-reviews.

If they're going to leave negative spam reviews, they should at least be creative and entertaining.

*sigh* The awful thing is, that I was online when this started and I probably could have nipped it in the bud immediately, had I known it was going on. Going to change my FFN email to my Yahoo email, which lets me know when I'm getting mail. Unlike the account I pay for. Yeesh.

1) What's your pen name? babies stole my dingo

2) Why did you choose that name? That's my posting ID on the eBay Bidding Board. I stole it from a fake anti-sniping rant that someone posted in response to a whiner who got outbid at the last second. I found out later that it has an obscure Buffy connotation (if you twist it around a little), so I decided to use it as a pen name as well....especially since the Biddies were cheerleading me a little and I wanted them to recognize me.

3) What's your real name? MYOB If I wanted you to know my real name, I'd use that.

4) What's your favourite fanfiction and why? I've only really read Buffy and Angel stuff, because those are the shows I'm most familiar with. I tried to read some Redwall and Tom Clancy ones, but they were so bad I gave up in disgust.

5) What's your favourite genre and why? I like them all, with the possible exception of slash. Altho, if it's slash written by a friend, I'll read it, or if it looks interesting.

6) How long have you been writing? Writing, writing? Since the ninth grade. Writing fanfiction? About six months, which is the same period of time I've started actually finishing things.

7) Why did you start? Had a plot bunny that wouldn't let go of my jugular. I started it in the middle of Season 7 of Buffy, after we found out that it was the last season. I had no idea how they were going to end the show, and it was my take on what would happen to Spike 40 years later. Jossed again. LOL

8) Have people ever mailed you because of your writing? Nope.

9) Have you ever been flamed? One person thought that the concept of Christian!Spike was completely hilarious. Then there's my review spammer--and I don't think they count.

10) If you have what was the worst one? See above.

11) What is the best review that you have ever gotten? Most of my reviewers are incredibly kind. Believe me, I *know* what the reaction is likely to be when I say I write Spike as a Christian, but I've been very surprised at how well that's been received.

12) Has a fan ever declared their love for you? Um. No.

13) Has a fan ever declared their lust for you? Um, all kinds of no.

14) Do you read your own fiction when you’re bored?
Not when I'm bored. Sometimes to see where I've been, and to look at where I'm going.

15) What's your favourite fanfiction story that you've written? Guh. I have to pick a favorite? How about I tell you my least favorite? Which was "Reward"--because it's my first one and I can now see how flawed it is.

16) What's your favourite story that someone else wrote? Again: I have to pick one? The story that got me really into fanfic was Richard Bachman's "Normal Again." Then I found Aeneas' "Raison d'Etre" and got really hooked. But now that I've read so much of the stuff, I can't really pick a favorite. I do have to mention "The Official Buffy and Angel Fanfiction University" by HonorH though. That....is sheer genius.

17) What writer do you admire the most? Aeneas. HonorH. Richard Bachman. Spikeswillingslave. Lots of others. Anyone who writes good characterizations and good stories.

18) Have you ever written something and not posted it? I've got three things in my "Stuff that didn't quite work" file. One was a script format of my Kitten Poker fic, the other was that same script format with Angel in Fred's place, and the third is "Reflections" told entirely in past tense. In general, if I write it, I post it...if I finish it.

19) What's your favourite rating to post in? PG-13.

20) Are original writers jealous of our talent to take an already existing idea and twist it around in more ways then a pretzel that knows yoga? I think it depends on the writer. Making a vast generalization like that is something I'm not inclined to do. However, in talking to my (published) Mom, I am inclined to go the other way. I think most original writers think that fanfiction (like romance) isn't "real" writing--and that if a fanfic writer wanted to become a member of a "writer's group," they would be rejected.
