He's still right there, kiddo -- as real to us as he ever was. Nick at Nite runs Dobie Gillis all the time. What I want to know is, has the WB network yet cancelled its shameful, "remember when we were creative?" "remake" of Gilligan's Island? This constant replowing of 1960s television is not a good sign. I'd bet money Green Acres is next.
Oh, that was a nice article! He's got an autobiography thing out there about Dobie and Gilligan and he came across as a really nice person, along with everyone he worked with--with the exception of Tina Louise, who apparently thought the show should be about Ginger. Heh.
Alas, all I get is broadcast TV, but the WB isn't on my list of stations to watch. Ever since those wankers cancelled Angel, they've been on my craplist. Why, NO, we can't have a smart, interesting show with a season-long arc that actually says something about the human condition, can we? Let's have "reality TV" instead. *barf*
Not that I'm bitter. *goes back to writing fanfic*
