Okay, so the format of this...thing is that it's first person, but both River and Illyria. I set off the POV change by using past tense and normal type for River, and present tense and italics for Illyria. Which is fine and good in small doses.
This final scene is Illyria's POV. And it's long. I'm wondering if the italics are going to start burning my readers' eyes.
*bangs head on keyboard*
It. Shouldn't. Be. This. Hard. Dammit.
ETA: And right after I posted this, I stuck a "the end" at the bottom of the thing. Heh.
