And again I say HAH! I might actually finish the Temp!Corp fic in the next week or so. Because, dudes, I've just figured out that I can completely excise Lindsey from this and thus make my life much less complicated. That way, I don't have to deal with his evil plot (whatever it is). And the explanation for Lilah being here? Why, she's keeping an eye on Eve, who is on her first field assignment.
*does a happy dance*
Now all I have to do is break Lilah's contract, send Buffy back to Rome with her tail between her legs, and send Spike and Fred and Wes and Lilah riding off into the sunset. And maybe have Spike sing for Lorne, which is always fun.

Date: 2005-03-20 03:41 am (UTC)Linked to that article was an editorial by Peggy Noonan about the case. What was even more interesting than the editorial were some of the responses, which ranged from the sublime to the ridiculous. One person said "cancel my subscription to the WSJ. I will look elsewhere for less biased reporting." Apparently this person missed the point of an EDITORIAL, which is OPINION.
Some other guy says "If Terri's parents want to care for their daughter and pay associated medical costs, then what is the issue? Why is the government involved at all?" Yeah, dude, have you been paying attention? The gov't is involved because her so-called husband wants to kill her and he's the one with the power in this case.
I find myself torn, thinking on the one hand that this is a State issue, not a Federal one. Hard cases make bad law. But if someone doesn't do something, then Michael Schiavo is going to get away with murder. And that would be bad.
By the way? I *love* that icon...

Date: 2005-03-20 08:09 am (UTC)"Take my love.
Take my land.
Take me where I cannot stand.
I don't care,
I'm still free.
You can't take the sky from me.
Take me out to the black.
Tell ‘em I ain't comin' back.
Burn the land
And boil the sea.
You can't take the sky from me.
Have no place I can be
Since I found Serenity.
But you can't take the sky from me..."
