Brace yourselves....

I'm going to get political here.
Israel just took out the founder of Hamas. And as the rest of the world screeches condemnation, I say, "Way to go, Israel. You can kill all the terrorists you want." To the rest of the world: Israel doesn't need your frelling permission to act in its interests. And you know what? Neither does the United States. Even if we had gone into Iraq unilaterally, without over thirty other nations at our side, it still would have been all right with me. I trust the leadership in charge right now--and all the anti-war activists seem to be forgetting that everyone thought Saddam had WMDs. Everyone. Including the members of the previous (Clinton!) Administration. And just because we haven't found them yet, doesn't mean they never existed--or that we won't find them later.
These terrorists don't want us to change. They want us to die. There is nothing whatsoever that we can do that will make them stop hating us. And in dealing with people like this, the only possible recourse is to kill them before they kill us. Was the strike on Iraq pre-emptive? You bet your ass it was, and so what? We should have waited ten years until he did have WMD capability? Well, gee. That would have been...stupid. As far as I'm concerned, the fact that Iraq hosted an Al-Queida training camp with a 727 fuselage in it is quite enough for me. Everyone else seems to forget that little detail, but I haven't.
