Background: Hubby works for a commuter airline, therefore we fly for free wherever Delta and his company both go. There are procedures we have to follow, of course, but it's generally a nice perk.
Okay, last time we flew on an airplane, Delta didn't have Da Boy in their pass system. This was several months ago, back when we went to Seattle. You'd think they'd have it fixed by now, right? In fact, the pass dept assured us that it was, and he shows up on the Hubby's List o' Authorized Dependents on the company website. All should be well, right?
Wrong. Of course. I tried to list us for the flight to DFW, so we can go see my family for Christmas, and Da Boy comes up as not in the system. Hubby calls the company travel department, and they say call back on Friday and get an update on the sitch.
Here's where the "I am a moron" part comes in. I forgot to call. And of course, no one's there today, it being a Saturday when all sane office-type people are at home.
Now, last time, we just had to go up to the counter and get Da Boy's ticket. Hopefully, that's all we'll have to do this time. Hubby, naturally, is pissed at me--but not as pissed as I am at myself. *headdesk*
There are other alternatives, if we can't get him on the plane for free. We can probably get him an ID-90 ticket, or even a full-price one (ugh). The hotel room, reserved via Expedia, is non-refundable. So, if we can't get Da Boy on the plane, we're screwed either way, plus Christmas is kind of a bust.
