My little boy is growing up...

So, we've finally got off our butts and built a real bed for him (in a manner of speaking, if a piece of plywood set up on four milk crates and a mattress counts as a "real bed"). Which means he's no longer going to be trapped in his crib. Now, since he's not been able to get out of bed to go potty at night, he generally wakes up with a wet diaper. In order to teach him that he's really too big for diapers anymore, Hubby the Genius has created a setup that will turn a lamp and a radio on in his room at 5am that will (hopefully) wake him up in time for him to go potty. To facilitate this, I'll be getting up with him for the first week or so, so that he'll not be quite so confused.

In other news, I broke 5000 words on the NaNo novel yesterday and finished up a scene. Heh. 10% done, and 50% of the month gone. *headdesk* Why in the world did I think I could do this? On the bright side, I've got at least a start on an original novel (which will probably never see the light of publication, because, really...how "mainstream" is a Christian vampire horror story?)--and lately, I've actually been finishing what I've started. So...yay?

I watched "House" last night. Snappy dialogue, interesting characters, made me laugh out loud a couple of times, made me go "EWWW!" once (tapeworm in the brain--and once more I say "EWWW!")...it's doomed. Fox will axe it after four episodes just like they did "Wonderfalls." Pooheads.

I saw "House" as well, as I love Hugh Laurie (Blackadder fan) and Veronica Mars wasn't on. Pretty good, but I'll still be watching VM come next Tuesday - it has snappier dialogue and better developed characters (of course, that could be because House has only had one episode so far).

Aw, didn't see "House." I really, really can't have another show on at nine on Tuesdays. I already watch One Tree Hill and Veronica Mars, and I unfortunately can't tape two shows at once.

Yeah. I loved "Wonderfalls." It was almost my favorite show. Figures.

I must know how that radio/light setup works! I cannot wake up on time for school. I always wake up with twenty minutes to eat breakfast and get ready. I have two alarm clocks next to my head. :\ Gah.

Yay! You have 5,000 words. I have...like, none practically. I kind of stopped. Two essays to write and two fanfics I promised I would write, plus other homework. No, no. >_<

Christian vampire horror novel?
...Hey, I'd read it.

We've got one of those timers for Christmas tree lights, and hooked that up to the clock radio and the lamp. You know, if you set the volume really loud and put the radio across the room, then you have to get out of bed to hit the snooze button.
